The feeds are the bell
Chainlink updates a stock feed when its price moves. Robinhood's stock tokens trade around the clock on weekdays, so the eighteen feeds tick all week and go completely silent from Saturday to Monday, and on the holidays the market takes. Count the ones that moved recently and you know whether the market is on, with no calendar to maintain and nobody to trust.

Read it from a contract
A view call over eighteen feeds. Nothing is stored, nothing is charged, and there is no owner who could change the answer.
bool live = hours.isOpen();

Ring the bell
The reading is live, but somebody has to write it down. Anyone can ring: the contract compares the feeds with its log and records the start or the end of a trading week, stamped with the tick itself rather than the hour the call was made.

Everything below is read from the contract on Robinhood Chain as the page loads. Nothing here is typed in by hand.
